Andres Suarez Madrigal has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and engineering since 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a Wireline Field Engineer at Schlumberger, where they were awarded "Best student of the class" during a 4-month training period in Scotland. Andres then moved to UC Santa Cruz, where they worked as a Research Scholar in Astronomy and Astrophysics from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Altair as an Application Engineer, and then as Manager of Technical Field Operations for Spanish-speaking Latin America. During this time, they increased the team performance and started a new business branch for the Mexico office. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Hanson Robotics Limited as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher and Operator, and then at OpenCog Foundation as an NLP Researcher. In 2019, they began working at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an AI Research Associate, and at SingularityNET as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher. In this role, they researched combining symbolic and sub-symbolic NLP methods to tackle unsupervised grammar induction, leveraging the latest transformer language models.

Andres Suarez Madrigal obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2005. Andres then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2011. In 2015, they obtained a edX Verified Certificate for Super-Earths and Life from edX. Finally, they earned a Master's Degree in Complex Adaptive Systems from Chalmers University of Technology in 2018.
