They also worked as a Student Laboratory Assistant at Harvard Medical School and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, where they explored genetic incompatibility leading to speciation.

Fang-Yi Chu began their education journey in 2007 at National Taiwan University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. They successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2012. Subsequently, in 2013, Fang-Yi enrolled at New York University to further their education.

At New York University, Fang-Yi Chu pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics from 2013 to 2015. Building upon this, they continued their academic pursuit and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the same institution, completing this milestone in May 2020.

Beyond their formal education, Fang-Yi Chu has also obtained additional certifications. In October 2020, they completed the "Learn Figma - UI/UX Design Essential Training" course on Udemy, which focused on UI/UX design. Moreover, they obtained a certification in UI/UX design from Coursera in November 2020.

Continuing their professional development, Fang-Yi Chu acquired two more certifications from Coursera in November 2021. These certifications were in the fields of Drug Development and Drug Discovery, further expanding their knowledge and expertise in those areas.
