Yanzhi Carolyn Jia

Yanzhi Carolyn Jia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Yanzhi Carolyn started their career in 2015 as a Summer Research Student at the University of Saskatchewan, where they conducted biochemical research. Yanzhi Carolyn then worked as a Student Peer Advisor, providing academic guidance to undergraduate students.

In 2016, they continued their research work as an Honours Project Research Student in the Department of Psychiatry. During this time, they explored the concept of Alzheimer's disease and gained experience in various lab techniques.

In 2017, Yanzhi joined Ivy100 Education as an Academic Assistant and Tutor, where they assisted high school students with university applications and tutored science subjects. Yanzhi Carolyn also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, providing course assistance and managing course content.

Yanzhi's experience in sales started in 2019 when they joined Artedia Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Sales Manager. Yanzhi Carolyn actively engaged with customer prospects and achieved sales growth by maintaining strong customer relationships. Yanzhi Carolyn then joined Crius Financial Services Corp. as an Insurance Sales Representative, assisting clients with financial planning and offering investment and insurance products.

In 2021, Yanzhi worked as a Tax Professional at H&R Block Canada, preparing personal tax returns and providing tax advice. Currently, they hold the position of Regional Sales Manager at Sino Biological, Inc., servicing researchers in academia and industry.

Throughout their career, Yanzhi has demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Yanzhi Carolyn has a strong background in research, customer service, and sales.

Yanzhi Carolyn Jia completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of British Columbia from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Saskatchewan from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Yanzhi Carolyn Jia has obtained several certifications. In September 2019, they completed the Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP) from the Insurance Council of BC. In October 2018, they obtained the QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) Gatekeeper Certificate from The University of British Columbia. Furthermore, in October 2017, they received the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Certificate from the UBC Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology.

Yanzhi Carolyn Jia has also acquired various certifications in tax-related fields from H&R Block Canada. Yanzhi Carolyn obtained the Federal Income Tax Level 1 certification in December 2020, followed by the Federal Income Tax Level 2 certification in December 2021. Finally, in February 2022, they earned the Tax Academy - Level 3 certification from H&R Block Canada.
