National Peening is currently seeking a ­­­­­Machine Operator to join our Team in Wilmington, NC.

What You Will Do

General

• Understand and perform work to written instructions.
• Correctly complete all paper work relative to process performed.
• Inspect parts before and after peening for defects, reporting to supervisor as necessary
• Mask and unmask parts as required
• Properly operate plant equipment including but not limited to tumble blast wheel machine, planetary table wheel machine, swing table wheel machine, air machine.
• Perform and demonstrate knowledge of intensity verification using Almen test strips
• Learn receiving freight procedures
• Learn and adhere to all plant safety measures

What We Want From You

• Minimum of High School diploma and/or equivalent.

• 2-5 years Machine Operator experience in a production setting

• Ability to read and write proficiently.

• Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
