Brian Maurer

Brian Maurer has a diverse work experience spanning over 35 years. Brian is currently working as the Sr. Vice President at SiO2 Medical Products, where they focus on commercializing new plastic and plasma coating/treatment technologies for use in drug discovery and diagnostic applications.

Prior to their current role, Maurer held multiple leadership positions at the Chemistry Council of New Jersey (CCNJ) from 2003 to 2014. Brian served as the Chairman of CCNJ, contributing to the growth and success of the chemical industry in New Jersey.

Maurer also has an extensive background with Dow Chemical, where they worked for over 30 years. Brian'sroles included Global Sr. R&D Director for various divisions, Vice President of UCC, and Regional R&D Manager. Brian played a key role in managing manufacturing plants, R&D centers, and integrating corporate cultures to create winning global R&D organizations.

Brian Maurer has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Central Michigan University, which they obtained from 1980 to 1984. Additionally, they have completed two Executive MBA programs. In 1998, they earned an Executive MBA in Global Entrepreneurial Studies from Thunderbird School of Global Management. In 2001, they attended IMD and obtained another Executive MBA in Global Entrepreneurial Studies.
