Alison Vrbanac

Scientist at Siolta Therapeutics

Alison is a microbiome scientist who received her Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego, having studied with Drs. Rob Knight and Victor Nizet. Her graduate research focused on the role of microbiome dysbiosis in various disease models, emphasizing metabolome and microbiome profiling. She has extensive experience analyzing microbiome sequencing data, metabolomics data, and integrating -omics data types, as well as optimizing study design for microbiome-focused experiments. Alison is also trained as a microbiologist, primarily working with BSL2 pathogens.
