Andrew is a motivated analytical chemist and molecular biologist with 10+ years of experience in analyzing metabolomics and metagenomics data generated from various biological organisms. He received his PhD from the Seoul National University, Republic of Korea, where he focused on identifying metabolic and microbial biomarkers associated with PK/PD of drugs in human participants. During his postdoctoral training in Baldridge lab at Washington University School of Medicine, U.S.A, he focused on investigating the contribution of bacterial and viral taxa and their products to rotavirus immunity. Additionally, he also focused on investigating the effects of antibiotics in regulating the human gut metabolome and microbiota including bacteria and viruses. With his expertise in analyzing metabolomics and metagenomics data, his ultimate research goal is to participate in developing Live Biotherapeutic Product and anticipate introducing this new class of therapeutics in a wide range of human diseases.
