Mark M.

Mark M. has a diverse work experience spanning over 35 years. Mark is currently the Co-founder and Vice President of Medicinal Chemistry at Sionna Therapeutics since May 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Sanofi for almost a decade, holding various positions including Head of Medicinal Chemistry, North America and Director of Medicinal Chemistry. Mark was responsible for overseeing the Medicinal Chemistry Department and leading the evaluation and due diligence of external opportunities. Before joining Sanofi, Mark worked at Array BioPharma, where they held positions such as Associate Director, Senior Group Leader, Group Leader, and Senior Research Scientist. At Array, Mark played a crucial role in establishing lead generation infrastructure and generating diversity libraries for commercial sale. Mark started their career at Amgen as a Research Scientist, where they worked for five years. Mark also gained internship experience at 3M in the early stages of their career.

Mark M. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Macalester College from 1984 to 1988. Mark pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, a five-year program from 1988 to 1993.
