Makoto Sakamoto

Makoto Sakamoto is the current Head of People & Culture at SIOS Technology. Prior to this, they worked as an HR Generalist for the company from April 2011 to December 2015. In this role, they were responsible for benefits and payroll administration, compliance, compensation, employee relations counseling and coaching, recruitment and employment, and new hire orientation/on-boarding/off-boarding.

Sakamoto has extensive experience in all areas of human resources and has played a key role in SIOS Technology's success. Makoto is a strategic thinker who is always looking for ways to improve the company's HR policies and procedures. Makoto is a strong advocate for employees and is always working to ensure that they are treated fairly and given the best possible opportunities for success.

Makoto Sakamoto holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from Illinois State University, a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Kanagawa University. Makoto is also certified by the HR Certification Institute in PHR.

Makoto Sakamoto works with Cassius Rhue - VP, Customer Experience, Masahiro Arai - Chief Operating Officer, and Takafumi Noso - VP, Engineering. Makoto Sakamoto reports to Nobuo Kita, Chairman, President and CEO.
