Yvonne Berghöfer-Hochheimer has extensive work experience in the biotech and research industries. Yvonne currently works at SIRION BIOTECH GmbH as the Head of Alliance and Program Management, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Freelancer for a Translational Research Company, where they served as a Senior Consultant in Translational R&D and corporate development from 2017 to 2019. Yvonne has also worked at Electrochaea GmbH as the Head of Laboratory from 2015 to 2016 and at Merck Life Science as a Product Manager from 2009 to 2014. Yvonne has also held various research positions, including as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UCSF from 2001 to 2004, UC Berkeley from 1998 to 2000, and the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research - Hans Knöll Institute from 1995 to 1998. Yvonne's diverse experience includes teaching biology and informatics at Welfen-Gymnasium Schongau in Bavaria and serving as an External Lecturer at the PromoCell Academy.

Yvonne Berghöfer-Hochheimer obtained a Diploma in Biology from The Philipp University of Marburg in 1990. Yvonne then pursued their Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the same university, completing it in 1994.
