From 2013 to 2019, they were a Selectman for the Town of Charlton, where they played a crucial role in policy development, contract negotiation, and problem-solving for residents. Joe also worked as a Civil Engineer for the Town of Arlington, managing construction projects and overseeing the street opening permit system.

Further, Joe gained political experience as the Chief of Staff to Representative Kate Campanale in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2015 to 2016.
