Xiangkun Kong

Xiangkun (Kevin) Kong, ACAS, is an experienced actuarial analyst currently employed at SiriusPoint since August 2020. Previously, Kong worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Virginia from November 2018 to May 2020, where responsibilities included coding contract terms from SEC filings and maintaining a detailed database. Prior to this role, Kong gained valuable experience as an actuarial intern at Allianz Partners, where knowledge of chain ladder techniques and tools such as SQL and Python was developed to assist in creating forecasting models and presenting findings to senior leadership. Additional experience includes a pension fund internship at Guotai Asset Management Group, where marketing strategies for pension fund products were developed and implemented with various stakeholders in China. Kong holds a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Mathematics and Economics from the University of Virginia and has also studied economics as an exchange student at Waseda University.
