Richard Budel

Richard Budel serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Sirius International Holding and holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Guardtime, where also acts as an Executive Director and Member of the Board. As Managing Partner at Uncommon Capital Advisors since July 2017, Richard has extensive experience, previously leading Group R&D and Digital initiatives as well as serving as Chief Commercial Officer in a confidential role. Richard's notable past roles include Chairman of the Digital Government Advisory Board at Huawei, where contributions were made as CTO for Government & Public Sector and CIO for Smart Cities, alongside various leadership positions at IBM in public sector domains. Richard began a career in enterprise and solutions architecture from May 1995 to September 2004, holding positions in the Government of Ontario prior to a significant tenure at IBM. Richard holds a degree from Trent University, completed in May 1995.
