Alexandru Popa

Alexandru Popa has over ten years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on cybersecurity. Alexandru began their career as an IT System Engineer with Romtelecom, where they worked for four years. Alexandru then transitioned to Bancpost, where they served as IT Security Officer. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the security of the bank's IT systems. After a year at Bancpost, they joined IBM as a Delivery Manager in their Cloud Application Services department. Alexandru worked at IBM for three years before joining Secureworks as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst.

At Secureworks, Alexandru was responsible for identifying and evaluating new data sources, conducting web-based research, and providing actionable intelligence to clients regarding new cyber threat trends, TTPs, tools or actors. Alexandru produced weekly, monthly and/or ad-hoc reports containing intelligence products on emerging cyber incidents, risks, threats, events or trends. Alexandru also regularly engaged with clients to deliver intelligence and make recommendations.

In December 2020, Alexandru left Secureworks to join Siscale as a Cybersecurity Consultant. In their current role, they provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity risks and solutions to Siscale's clients.
