Selim Budak

Selim Budak has extensive work experience in procurement and purchasing roles. Selim served as the Global Procurement Director - Indirect & Investments at Şişecam since 2022. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2022, they worked at Hayat Kimya, where they held positions such as Global Purchasing Group Manager - Technical - Indirect & Investments and Global Senior Purchasing Manager - Technical - Indirect & Investments. At thyssenkrupp, they were the Purchasing Manager from 2017 to 2018. Selim also worked at Unilever in various senior procurement roles from 2013 to 2017, including Senior Asst. Procurement Manager and Asst. Sourcing Manager. Selim started their career at Novares Group as a Project Purchasing Leader and later worked at Teklas as a Strategic Buyer. Selim's early experience includes working as a Supply Engineer & MSc.Graduation Project at MNG Technic.

Selim Budak holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Yıldız Technical University, which they completed between 2002 and 2007. In 2008 and 2009, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Engineering/Engineering Management from Istanbul Technical University. Additionally, they pursued further studies in Materials Engineering at Universidade do Minho in Portugal as part of an Erasmus program in 2005 and 2006. In more recent years, Selim enrolled in several certificate programs at prestigious institutions. In 2021, they completed a certificate program in Strategy Execution at Harvard Business School, followed by a Global Business certificate program at the same school. Selim also pursued coaching education at Sola Unitas Coach Academy, specializing in Professional Coaching in 2013 and Executive Coaching in 2017. Currently, they are attending Istanbul University to pursue Turquality EMBA, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
