Alex Coles Ceng Mice

Alex Coles CEng MICE has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2008, they worked part-time as a Customer Services Partner at Waitrose until 2011. In 2012, they worked as an Engineering Technician at Stomor Ltd until 2016. At John Sisk & Son Ltd, they started as an Undergraduate Engineer in 2012 for three summer placements. In 2016, they returned to John Sisk & Son Ltd as a Graduate Engineer on the Excelerate Scheme, rotating between projects. Alex gained experience as a Site Engineer and then worked as a Group R&D Engineer before becoming a Strategy & Performance Analyst. Currently, as the Head of Data Insights & Knowledge Management, they are responsible for driving a commercially-focused Strategy and Performance Team.

Alex Coles CEng MICE received a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2015. In 2013 and 2014, they undertook a year abroad program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they also earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Hitchin Boys' School from 2003 to 2010, where they completed their A2 Level in Geography, Mathematics, History, and Physics, along with AS Level in Further Mathematics. In terms of certifications, Alex holds the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) from CITB and First Aid at Work from St John Ambulance. Alex is also a Chartered Civil Engineer recognized by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
