Director, Home- And Community Based EI Program at Siskin Children's Institute

Amy Jenkins has extensive experience in the field of early intervention programs for children. Amy served as the Director of the Home- and Community-Based EI program at Siskin Children's Institute from 2010. In this role, they supervised a team of 14 Developmental Therapists and provided support to over 280 families in the Southeast District of Tennessee. Amy also has expertise in Routines-Based Interview and Routines-Based Home Visiting, having been certified as a trainer in these areas. Prior to their role at Siskin Children's Institute, they worked as a Service Coordinator at TEIS from 2003 to 2009.

Amy Jenkins earned a Master's degree in Education from UTC, attending from 1990 to 1992.

Founded in 1950 by Mose and Garrison Siskin in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Siskin Children's Institute achieves its mission through, pediatric healthcare services, education, home & community-based programs, and outreach services Education Our Siskin Early Learning Center provides a high quality preschool education to young children with and without disabilities, including children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, chromosomal abnormality and brain injury. Health Care The Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics is a regional developmental pediatric center, led by a team of developmental pediatricians, with services available in Chattanooga and Nashville, TN. Children are referred to the Institute for medical, psychological and cognitive assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including, occupational, speech and language, applied behavior analysis, and other therapies as well as counseling and social skills groups. Home Visiting The Siskin Home & Community-Based Early Intervention program is designed to help parents, other caregivers and children with special needs gain the knowledge and confidence they need to be successful in life. Through visits with a developmental therapist, the family receives information, support, guidance and consultation about improving the child’s and family’s quality of life.
