Ellie Somers

Ellie Somers, PT, DPT, is a skilled physical therapist and owner of Sisu Performance and Physical Therapy since September 2016. Somers has held prominent positions in sports medicine, including Director of Sports Medicine and Director of Rehabilitation at OL Reign from December 2021 to May 2023, and Director of Medical and Performance for the Chicago Red Stars from February 2024 to November 2024. Additionally, Somers served as Team Physical Therapist for USAFL Freedom from February 2020 to March 2022 and contributed as a Clinical Research Physical Therapist at Seattle Children’s from January 2012 to February 2020, focusing on concussion study assessments. Somers began a physical therapy career at Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico and PRO Sports Club between 2009 and 2012. Somers earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University, following a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the same institution.
