Phil Garbrecht

Phil Garbrecht started their work experience as a Front-End Web Developer at a self-employed position in 2017. Phil designed and developed websites for startup companies, resulting in significant growth in monthly website traffic for their clients.

In 2019, Phil joined Khoros as a Content Marketing Manager, where they migrated acquired site pages and developed the resources area of the site. Phil completed the migration and resources section in half the expected time and was promoted.

In 2020, Phil transitioned to the role of Marketing Programs Manager at Khoros, where they contributed to the redesign and development of website pages, leading to a significant increase in monthly website leads and a reduction in performance issues.

In 2020, Phil joined Watermark as a Digital Marketing Manager. Phil refactored React components, restructured the site architecture, and managed a MySQL database. Their contributions resulted in a significant increase in revenue from the website, and they received a promotion and an annual award.

From 2021 to 2023, Phil served as the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing at Watermark, where they continued to develop React components on the business site and managed the hosting and database. The website became the company's top revenue source, and the browser response time improved significantly.

Currently, Phil is working at SISU as a Robotics Software Developer, leading the front-end development and contributing to full-stack development for their cinema robot software. Phil is guiding the team in transitioning to a cross-platform, cloud architecture and has achieved a 100% sprint completion rate for assigned tasks. Phil has implemented core features using HTTP and websocket communication and established React best practices for the team.

Phil Garbrecht attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree. The field of study for their undergraduate degree is not specified. In 2022, Phil enrolled in General Assembly and completed a Software Engineering Program as well as a Front End Web Development Program, both in the field of Computer Science. Additionally, Phil obtained several certifications in 2022, including AWS Cloud Technical Essentials from Amazon Web Services (AWS), PHP Essentials from LinkedIn, Spring Ecosystem and Core from LearnQuest, Introduction to Mobile Development from Meta, Introduction to Java from LearnQuest, and Crash Course on Python from Google.
