Walid Trabelsi

Walid Trabelsi, PhD, is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Leader at SITA since August 2023, Walid leads a high-performing AI team focused on advanced technologies for airport operations analysis and forecasting. Previous roles include AI Platform Engineering Lead at Fiserv and Dell, where Walid successfully addressed AI challenges in the fintech sector and enhanced payment platform configurations, respectively. With a strong foundation from IBM as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Walid developed machine learning models using the IBM Watson Optimization Engine and contributed to various AI and IoT projects across multiple organizations, showcasing a commitment to innovation and excellence in technology. Walid holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from University College Cork.
