Nathan Gustus

Nathan Gustus has over 12 years of experience in the solar industry, starting with work as a volunteer coordinator for the Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library and Resource Center and a workshop intern at the Solar Living Institute. Nathan has worked with many companies throughout their career, including Gentec Electrical Services, Integrated Electrical Services, Synergy Conservation Solutions, SolarCity, MBP Solar Design and Consulting, NRG Home Solar, and Civil Design and Engineering before their current role as a Solar Project Manager at SitelogIQ West. Gustus has held various positions, including PV Designer, Permit Coordinator, Solar Installer, PV Design Engineer, Inspections Coordinator/Operations, and Inspector/Project Manager. Gustus has experience in designing, installing, and inspecting solar systems and helping to streamline the process of passing inspections. Nathan has also worked with commercial solar installations, electric vehicle charging stations, transformer replacements, variable frequency drives, lighting retrofits, retro-commissioning projects, motor replacements, building automation system upgrades, and water source heat pumps. Gustus has also been instrumental in improving standardization of design and training staff.

Nathan Gustus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Loyola University Chicago, which they earned between 2004 and 2007. Nathan then pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University from 2002 to 2004. In 2010, Nathan attended the Hypnotherapy Training Institute, which they completed in the same year. From 2013 to 2015, Nathan pursued an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology from Diablo Valley College. Nathan obtained NABCEP Solar PV Installation Professional Certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in October 2015.
