George Semaan

George Semaan has over 19 years of work experience in various technology leadership roles. George currently serves as the Director of Engineering at SiteMinder, starting in June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Netstar Australia from May 2020 to May 2021.

From 2005 to 2021, George worked at Semcorp as a Principal Consultant, where they provided consulting services.

George also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at AislePlus from February 2019 to May 2020, where they played a key role in the startup's early stages and led the transformation of the entire technology department.

At Travelport, George served as the Global Director of Engineering and Technology from February 2016 to February 2019. George was responsible for technical team and product strategy, budget management, and ensuring product performance and efficiency.

Prior to that, they held technology leadership roles at Corporate Travel Management AU/NZ, Expedia Group, Nine, Moon Communications Group, and LSA Australia, gaining experience in a variety of development and management positions.

George Semaan attended Columbia Business School in 2018, where they completed an executive education program in Developing and Leading High-Performance Teams. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2004, they studied at the University of Western Sydney, majoring in Computer Science with a focus on eBusiness. In addition, George obtained certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2012.
