Mat Jones

Mat Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Mat is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at Amplitel since September 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Product Development & Customer Engagement at SiteSee starting from November 2020. In 2020, Mat worked as an Advisor to H.R.L. Morrison & Co, where they played a crucial role in securing a strategic stake in over 8,000 Telco towers.

Before that, Mat worked at Axicom Pty Ltd as the Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to October 2020 and as the Director of Operations from 2015 to 2018. Mat also has an extensive tenure at Crown Castle Australia, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Operations, Director of Property & Commercial, and General Manager of the Downer Crown Joint Venture, from 2003 to 2014. Prior to that, they worked as the National Program Manager at Crown Castle Australia from 2001 to 2003.

Mat began their career at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate from 2000 to 2001. Mat'searliest work experience can be traced back to 1989 when they worked as a Senior Project Manager at ABB, where they remained until 2000. Overall, Mat Jones has a vast and varied background in telecommunications, infrastructure, operations, and project management.

Mat Jones completed the AICD Company Directors Course in 2018 at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where they studied Business Administration and Management. From 1996 to 2000, they pursued an MBA at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. Additionally, between 1987 and 1993, Mat studied Engineering with a focus on Civil/Structural at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
