Heli Nissinen

Heli Nissinen serves as the Leading Communications Specialist at Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, since January 2015, overseeing the development of online platforms and supporting various communication projects. With prior experience as a Communications Specialist at Sitra and roles such as Research Assistant at the University of Jyväskylä and Communications Officer at Movement for Change, Heli has a strong background in communication strategy and project management. Experience also includes positions at the Embassy of Finland in Washington D.C. and Canberra, where responsibilities encompassed media relations, political reporting, and communications evaluation. Heli holds a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Data & Marketing and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Jyväskylä.
