Katie Shima

Director of Design at SITU

Katie Shima is the current Director of Design at Situ. Prior to their current position, they were an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation from January 2014 to June 2014. Katie was also a student editor, Abstract, at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation from May 2007 to May 2009 where they helped develop the concept for the design of the books. From June 2012 to October 2012, Katie was a freelance architectural designer at The Living. And from November 2009 to March 2012, they were an architectural designer at Marble Fairbanks. Her very first position was as a freelance graphic designer at MTWTF from September 2009 to October 2009.

Katie Shima graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Katie then attended Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, where they earned their MArch.
