Dave Lemley

Dave Lemley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades.

Dave started their career in 1998 as a Lead Developer at BindView Development, where they contributed to the NOSAdmin/NT product and implemented key features using design patterns.

In 2001, they joined BMC Software as a Product Developer and worked on extending the LogMaster product line.

From 2003 to 2005, they worked at WholeSecurity, Inc. as the Manager of Core Detection Technology, where they developed techniques for detecting malicious code.

Dave joined Symantec in 2005 as a Sr Development Manager, following the acquisition of WholeSecurity.

In 2006, they worked as a Software Engineer at Blue Coat Systems, focusing on network protocol acceleration technology.

From 2007 to 2009, they served as the VP of Technology and Chief Architect at MPower Labs, where they created an issuing payments system for prepaid-debit.

In 2009, they co-founded Tabbedout and served as the CTO and President, leading the development of a mobile payments product.

From 2013 to 2022, they worked as an Independent Contractor, providing software and hardware design services to various clients across different industries.

In 2017, they co-founded SixEngines and assumed the roles of CTO, Vice-President, and cofounder. Dave developed a heuristic security assessment solution for endpoints in an enterprise setting.

In 2022, they joined Amazon as an SDE III, focusing on software development.

Dave Lemley received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University. Dave attended the university from 1984 to 1992.
