Ioanna Mylonaki is currently the Preclinical R&D Lead at Sixfold Bioscience and a Member of the Strategic Advisory Board at the Henry Royce Institute. From 2017-2021, they were an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Materials at the Molly Stevens group, where they developed delivery systems for gene and cell therapy. In 2018, they were the Chief Scientific Officer at Experoment, developing Labs 2.0. From 2012-2015, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and PhD student in Drug Delivery at the Universit\u00e9 de Gen\u00e8ve, where they focused their research on local and sustained drug delivery systems. During their PhD, they also obtained a personal grant from the French Embassy in Switzerland to work on an ex vivo system of human saphenous veins for testing perivascular formulations at the University of Bordeaux. In 2010, they were an Intern at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, where they studied the self-assembling properties of diblock co-polymers, and at the Rethymno General Hospital.
Ioanna Mylonaki's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmaceutical technology from the University of Geneva (2012-2017), a Master of Science - MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon (2006-2011), and an Apolytirion with Panhellenic Examinations in Life Science from the Experimental School of the University of Crete, Rethymno (2002-2005). Ioanna is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program in Business Administration and Management, General at the London Business School (2023-2024).
