Johan Winell

Johan Winell has extensive experience in the maritime sector, currently serving as Manager of the Business Area Construction and Engineering at Sjöfartsverket since August 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing fairway markings and property maintenance. Winell has held various roles within Sjöfartsverket, including Acting Director of the Infrastructure Department and Manager of Operational Technical Systems, focusing on managing governmental fairway development and facility management. Prior to this, Winell worked as a System Engineer at Saab Aerosystems, specializing in software development and IT project management, and earlier as an Engineer at Sjöfartsverket, contributing to the creation of Sweden's first digital sea charts. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Quality Management from Mid Sweden University (2021-2023) and a Master’s degree in Media Technology from Linköping University (1997-2001).
