Brienne Gahan

Brienne Gahan has over 9 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Brienne is currently the Regional Director of Information Security and Privacy at Skagit Regional Health, where they have been working since December 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Manager of Application Security and Integration from December 2019 to December 2021 and as the Application Security Lead from November 2016 to December 2019 at the same organization. Before joining Skagit Regional Health, Brienne worked as an Application Security Analyst at Epic Application, where they were responsible for understanding Epic's security infrastructure and provisions security for users. Brienne also performed security audits and provided Tier 2 integrated Epic EHR security support. Brienne's earlier experience includes working as an Application Analyst at NextGen EPM/EHR Application, where they provided support, analysis, and training services to practice staff. Brienne started their career as a Training Administrator for NextGen Practice at Inventurus Knowledge Solutions in 2008 and later worked as a Patient Account Rep at Physiotherapy Associates from August 2008 to November 2009.

Brienne Gahan received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Care Informatics from Western Governors University in 2016-2018. Brienne also holds an Associate's Degree from Everett Community College. Brienne has additional certifications including Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) from AHIMA, Epic Care Everywhere Certification, Epic Data Courier Administrator, Epic Security Administration, NCP EHR Certified from QSI | NextGen Healthcare, NCP EPM Certified from QSI | NextGen Healthcare, and NCP SCT Certified from QSI | NextGen Healthcare.
