Kaisa Piipari

Kaisa Piipari has worked in the QA field for over 10 years, with a focus on digital products. Kaisa began their career at Springer Science+Business Media, where they were Head of QA & Customer Services for Papers. In this role, they were responsible for planning and developing the Papers testing strategy, release management for product updates, and manually testing Papers on all platforms. Kaisa also developed automated tests for Papers for Windows using Automa. In addition to QA responsibilities, Kaisa also planned and developed the Papers customer service strategy, filed bug reports and feature requests for the developer teams, and contributed to developing the product roadmap. Kaisa was also the main point of contact for academic and corporate customers, providing pre and post-sales support and technical customer support. Kaisa developed and maintained the customer support Knowledge Base portal.

In 2016, Kaisa transitioned to ReadCube/Papers (Digital Science & Research Solutions Ltd) as Senior QA Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for manually testing Papers and ReadCube applications (Mac, iOS, Online), testing in-house Papers licensing & e-commerce solutions, and project management during transitioning Papers to ReadCube ownership. Kaisa also filed bug reports and developer tickets in Jira.

Kaisa is currently a QA at Sketch.

Kaisa Piipari has a BSc in Biochemistry from UCL and a PhD in Diabetes and Endocrinology from UCL. Kaisa is also certified from Big Nerd Ranch in Beginning iOS (iPhone/iPad) with Swift.
