Don Lynch, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various positions and industries. Don is currently serving as the Vice President of Quality, Strategy, and Transformation at SKF Group since 2018. In this role, they lead the quality, strategy, and transformation efforts for SKF in the Americas.

Before joining SKF Group, Don Lynch worked as a Co-Director for MBB Lean and Six Sigma Programs at the University of Michigan from 2004. Don developed curriculum and taught Lean Six Sigma classes for the university, focusing on manufacturing, transactional, and healthcare industries.

From 2007, Don Lynch also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Detroit Mercy. Don taught graduate courses in Masters in Product Development, Masters in Engineering Management, and other programs. Don developed a Lean Six Sigma certification program integrated into the existing masters' programs.

Don Lynch worked as the Vice President of Operations at Battery Solutions, LLC from 2017 to 2018. Don was responsible for leading the operations, engineering, logistics, shipping/receiving, and QEH&S teams for Battery Solutions headquarters and operations in Howell, MI, Brighton MI, and Mesa, AZ.

Additionally, Don Lynch worked at SKF Group as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Production System Deployment Champion from 2004 to 2017, where they played a senior-level role in driving continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Don also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Cleary University, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in operations management from 1999 to 2009.

Prior to that, Don Lynch worked at Visteon Corporation, transitioning from a senior manager position at Diamond Electric Corp. to focus on an internal consultant and technical leadership role. Don also held various roles at Diamond Electric, including Director of Engineering and General Manager.

Don Lynch started their career at Ford Motor Company in 1990 through the Ford College Graduate Program. During their time at Ford, they held positions as Launch Coordinator, Production Supervisor, Product Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer, gaining valuable experience in multiple engineering and operations disciplines.

Don Lynch, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in engineering and business administration. Don earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1990. Don then pursued a Master's in Business Administration at Eastern Michigan University from 1990 to 1994. In 2001, they completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical (Industrial) Engineering with a specialty in quality and statistics from Colorado State University. To further enhance their expertise, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Lean Six Sigma from the University of Michigan in 2004.
