Greene County Jumpstart- Pre-apprenticeship Training

THIS TRAINING IS FOR THOSE SEEKING A CAREER IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADES..........No cost, Free

The training will be held at the Greene County Career Center in Eutaw, Al.  - 14223 US Highway 11, Eutaw, Al.... Classes meet twice a week on Mon & Tues  5 - 8 pm for 10 weeks.

Orientation & Start Date is Monday,Jan. 27th at 5:00 pm...attendance is mandatory for acceptance into training.

Skilled Trades does not pay lodging expense.

The Jump Start program is an introduction to the skilled trades.

The training starts with an overview of all the trades, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling & Carpentry.

You'll learn your career path to obtaining licenses and/or certifications and wages on a national scale in each trade.

You will have the opportunity to learn taking measurements, reading blueprints, employability skills, hand and power tools safe use and materials used on construction jobsites. 

This training places a strong emphasis on safety in the workplace.

Upon satisfactory completion of this training, you will be eligible to be interviewed for employment with one or more of our participating contractors. If hired, you can enroll in the Apprenticeship Training Program.

Eligibility requirements:

      1. must be at least 18 years of age

       2. high school diploma or GED

      3. eligible to work in the U.S.

      4. ability to pass drug screen and background check

      5. valid driver's license and clean driving record
