Bevon Joseph has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Bevon is currently serving as the Head of Innovation at Skillful.ly. In addition, Bevon is an active member of ForbesBLK, a global community that supports Black entrepreneurs and leaders driving change. Bevon also hosts The Social Capital Guy Podcast, where they share their knowledge and network to help people enhance their social capital.
Prior to their current roles, Bevon founded and served as the Executive Director of Greenwood Project, a non-profit organization. Bevon has also served as an Advisory Board Member at the DePaul University Career Center.
Bevon has held various positions in the IT and finance sectors. Bevon worked as the IT Operations Manager and Acting CTO at Achievement Asset Management and as a Senior Application Support Analyst at PEAK6 Advisors. Bevon also worked as a Trading Systems Manager at Chicago Trading Company and as Trading Floor Desktop Support at ASI System Integration, Inc.
Before venturing into the IT and finance industries, Bevon gained experience as a PC Health Technician II at Siemens.
Bevon Joseph completed their education at various institutions. Bevon earned a Bachelor's degree in BA-Individualized Focus Area - MIS from DePaul University between 2014 and 2019. In 2020, they participated in The Young Nonprofit Leaders Series (YNLS) at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago, focusing on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. In 2019, Bevon obtained a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, emphasizing Business. Bevon also completed an Idea-Stage Accelerator and Startup Launch Program at the Founders Institute in 2018. Earlier in their career, Bevon acquired an Associate's degree in Computer Engineering Technology/Technician from RETS Institute in 1996-1997. In terms of additional certifications, Bevon attended the ASU+GSV Summit in 2023, acquired the Nonprofit Finance: Toolkit for Leaders certification from Kellogg Executive Education in 2021, and obtained the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business credential in 2019. Additionally, Bevon holds MCSA and MCSE certifications from Microsoft.
