Benjamin Jelsma, Esq. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Benjamin has worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Skin Solutions Dermatology, where they played a key role in growing the company and establishing new clinics in underserved communities. As a Licensed Real Estate Agent at Diamond Realty Brokers, Benjamin gained experience managing a wide range of real estate transactions. Benjamin also served as the Director of Operations and Account Manager at Likewise Daily Skincare, where they successfully restructured the company's sales approach and significantly increased online sales. Benjamin's passion for fostering cultural understanding led him to found the UBC Intercultural Alliance, an organization that aimed to break down cultural silos on campus by organizing events and initiating partnerships. Benjamin also worked as an Equity Ambassador at The University of British Columbia, where they conducted workshops and developed marketing campaigns to promote inclusivity. Additionally, Benjamin gained political experience as a Constituent Services Intern in the office of US Senator Lamar Alexander and as an Academic Intern at the Metropolitan Planning Organization, where they authored a comprehensive report on transportation and housing accessibility in Nashville.

Benjamin Jelsma, Esq. obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where they studied from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Honours Human Geography at The University of British Columbia, attending from 2010 to 2014. In 2013, they also participated in the Hispanic and European Studies Program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, focusing on Spanish and Iberian Studies.

In addition to their educational achievements, Benjamin Jelsma, Esq. holds certifications in the field of healthcare management (CMPE), obtained from MGMA in May 2017.
