Rachel Fawcett

Rachel Fawcett has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rachel began their career in 1989 at Yorkshire Water Services Ltd, where they held various HR roles and gained experience in recruitment, employee relations, outsourcing, and redundancy programs. In 1993, they moved to Leeds General Infirmary as a Personnel Manager, leading a team of HR professionals during a time of significant change. Rachel then joined National Australia Group in 1996, initially as the Head Office HR Manager for Yorkshire Bank and later progressing to more senior and strategic HR roles. At National Australia Group, they gained experience in all aspects of HR, including employee relations, performance, change management, culture, and reward. In 2005, Rachel became the Chief of HR at HML, an outsourced mortgage administration provider, where they were responsible for leading a team of HR, OD, and Internal Communications professionals. Most recently, they have been the Chief HR Officer at Skipton Building Society since 2011.

Rachel Fawcett completed their education with a 10 O' levels and 4 A' levels from Durham High School. Rachel then pursued a BA Honours in History from the University of Leeds between 1985 and 1988. Rachel later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in CIPD from Teesside Polytechnic in 1988-1989. Finally, they completed their MBA from the University of Bradford from 1996 to 2000.
