Under the direct supervision of the Board of Commissioners, the Director is responsible for the implementation of agency policy and the comprehensive management of the park and recreation system. Tuft directs the planning and operation of the public agency and is the administrative head of all departments and divisions.

In addition to enjoying the many offerings of the Skokie Park District, Tuft is an avid Cubs fan.

She enjoys gardening, reading, and pottery, and couldn’t imagine life without her five cats, two dogs, and ice cream. She is also a big Swiftie with 36 first cousins on her mother's side (who was one of 10 kids)!
