Accounting Manager at Skokie Park District

As the Accounting Manager, Portillo upholds the financial integrity of the park district. She oversees monthly bank reconciliations and prepares key financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. Portillo supervises the Accounts Payable clerk, guiding daily operations and offering support. Additionally, she reviews financial reports to promote responsible financial practices throughout the district.

In her free time, Portillo embraces a variety of recreational activities. She loves watching movies, solving puzzles, playing bingo, and curling up with a good book. She has a passion for travel, often accompanied by country music. At home, she will enjoy the nostalgic sounds of 80s music or her kids' favorite tunes. Reminiscing about her high school days in Iowa, she remembers playing 6-on-6 basketball as a guard, sparking her lifelong love for college sports—especially that of Iowa State. With a sweet tooth, Portillo can’t imagine life without dessert!
