Laurel Dooley

Laurel Dooley is the Teen Services Manager at Skokie Public Library, a position they have held since September 2015. Prior to that, they were a Children's Librarian at Eisenhower Public Library from June 2015 to September 2015, and a Library Assistant and Customer Service representative at Oak Park Public Library from October 2013 to November 2015. From June 2012 to April 2013, Laurel was an Administrative Assistant at William B. Meyers and Associates, where their responsibilities included financial record keeping, typing, legal filing and scheduling appointments. Laurel also held the position of Administrative Assistant at Enreach, Inc. during that time, with responsibilities that included building client presentations in PowerPoint and Keynote, assisting with event planning, drafting and editing documents, and making travel arrangements. Laurel's previous experience also includes working as a Women's Apparel Department Manager at Urban Outfitters from July 2008 to June 2012, and as a Marketing Intern at Illini Media from May 2008 to September 2008.

Laurel Dooley has a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) from Dominican University in Children and Youth Library Services and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in English Literature.
