Alexander Marusov

Alexander Marusov currently serves as the Head of Research Group at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in generative modeling of sequential data since July 2022. Previously, in the role of Senior Research Engineer, Alexander focused on long-term drought prediction using innovative transformer methods and classic machine learning techniques. As a Research Engineer, significant contributions were made in the implementation of self-supervised approaches for oil and gas data, resulting in a publication in a Q1 journal. Prior experience includes working as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, where Alexander achieved notable results in Human Pose Estimation and published findings in reputable journals. Additionally, Alexander was involved as a Software Engineer at the Moscow Center of SPARC Technologies. Currently pursuing a PhD in Computational and Data Science and Engineering at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Alexander also holds an MS in Informatics and Computer Engineering and a BS in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
