Michael Kortering

Michael Kortering has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Michael is currently working as the Chief Credit Officer at Reprise Financial and Skopos Financial DBA SpringLight Financial since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at OneMain Financial where they held the positions of SMD Data Science from January 2017 to April 2021, and SMD Head of Digital Strategy from August 2016 to January 2017. Before joining OneMain Financial, they worked at PNC from December 2010 to August 2016 as the SVP Analytics & Portfolio Management: Credit Card and Small Business Lending. Michael'scareer in the financial industry started at JPMorgan Chase where they worked as the Business Card Acquisitions Director/SVP from January 2002 to December 2010.

Michael Kortering began their education in 1988 at Hope College, where they pursued a degree in Economics. During this time, they also studied Japanese. In 1990, they attended Waseda University to further their studies in the Japanese language. In 1991, Michael briefly attended the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton School to focus on Business studies. Michael completed their formal education in 1992, earning a degree in Economics from Hope College. After a few years, from 1999 to 2001, Michael pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance at Western Michigan University.
