Carol Lau

Carol Lau has a diverse work experience in different roles and industries. In 2019, they worked as a Sales Assistant at L'Occitane Group. From 2020 to 2021, they freelanced as a UIUX Designer. In 2020, they also worked as a Web and Graphic Intern at Indigo global design and innovation company, where they contributed to website and social media graphics, design guidelines, and sample pages. From 2021 to present, they have been a UX Designer at Actionstep, focusing on user experience design. Starting in 2023, they will join SKUTOPIA as a Product Designer.

Carol Lau completed their Bachelor's degree in Creative Technologies from Auckland University of Technology from 2016 to 2019. Following that, they attended Yoobee College of Creative Innovation from 2020 to 2021 to study Front End Development. In addition to their formal education, Carol has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the "Hello Design Thinking" course offered by IDEO. In 2021, they also obtained the "Usability Testing and Prototyping Course" certification from UX Gym. The following year, in 2022, Carol obtained three more certifications: "Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner" from IBM, "Journey Mapping" from The Interaction Design Foundation, and "User Research – Methods and Best Practices" as well as "How to Design Experiences for AI" from Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF).
