Tom Spoelstra MSc has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles in the fields of CRM, eCRM, and digital marketing. Tom started their career as a Marketing & Communication Intern at Schaap & De Mol Real Estate Agency, where they gained experience in managing properties and delivering presentations. Tom then interned at McGregor Fashion Group, where they developed customer journeys and assisted in email marketing and CRM activities.

Moving forward, Tom worked at N Brown Group as an Email Marketing Executive, where they executed email campaigns, performed testing and analysis, and proposed improvements for the customer experience. Tom was later promoted to Marketing Coordinator, where they managed strategic planning, technical development, and implementation of email marketing for major brands. Tom also introduced new email technologies and optimized personalization.

Tom then joined BPP as a Senior CRM Executive, handling all email communications to prospects, students, alumni, and B2B clients. Tom built the foundation of the email channel on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and focused on technological development and key metric improvements through A/B testing and personalization.

At Love Energy Savings, Tom served as an eCRM Manager and later as a Senior eCRM Manager. Tom built CRM marketing from scratch, managed ESP tender process, developed successful CRM strategies, optimized segmentation, and implemented automated email campaigns. Tom also led a significant automation project and introduced new marketing tools such as SMS marketing and web pages for specific campaigns.

Most recently, Tom worked at PMT - Play Music Today as the Head of CRM, responsible for strategy, planning, and execution. Notably, they budgeted and planned for FY24, improved tracking, data management, and reporting.

Tom's upcoming role is with Suntransfers as their Head of CRM, starting in 2023.

Tom Spoelstra MSc has a diverse education history. In 2006, they completed Intermediate Vocational Education in Marketing & Communications at Deltion College. Tom then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Business Management at IVA Driebergen Business School from 2010 to 2014. Following that, they obtained an MSc with Merit in Strategic Marketing from the University of Bradford School of Management from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they also participated in Master (Summer School) programs at TBS Education and the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, specializing in Marketing. Furthermore, Tom has obtained various certifications, including Advanced Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Beginners from Google in 2021, GDPR Training from Ellis Whittam in 2020, and Learn SQL from Scratch from Codecademy in 2019. Tom also holds certifications such as First Aid at Work from St John Ambulance in 2016 and the Student Representative Gold Award from the University of Bradford Union of Students in 2015, among others.
