Shaun Sorensen

Shaun Sorensen is a seasoned professional in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), currently serving as a Technical Trainer at Skydio since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a UAS Analyst at Concept Solutions, LLC, and as a Vertical Takeoff and Landing Instructor/Evaluator with Evolving Resources Inc., where Shaun gained qualifications on various drones including the XMQ-13 Instant Eye and Lockheed Martin Indago 3. Shaun's operational expertise is further highlighted by experience as a Hunter Air Vehicle Operator at SDI System Dynamics International, Inc., and as a Shadow UAV Operator in the United States Marine Corps, executing complex reconnaissance missions. Shaun holds a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Systems from North Carolina State University, a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operation from Cochise College.
