Hamed RahmaniKhezri

Machine Learning Researcher I at Skylab Technologies

Hamed RahmaniKhezri has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. From 2015-2017 they worked as a Teaching Assistant, Undergarduate Research Assistant in the Mobile Communication Systems Lab, and Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Smart Networks Lab at the University of Tehran. In 2017, they completed an Internship at Farineh Fanavar. From 2019-2021, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, where they designed unsupervised Perceptual-DIPs (using PyTorch) based on Deep Image Priors as a new model to separate the input image with the reflection into two separate layers. Hamed also developed a data-driven refinement step which required no reflection-related data to improve the quality of the produced images. In 2021, they worked as a Machine Learning Developer at Kinaxis. Currently, they are a Machine Learning Engineer at Skylab Technologies Inc.

Hamed RahmaniKhezri is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Simon Fraser University. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Tehran in 2019, as well as a Minor in Computer Engineering in 2017. Hamed also holds a diploma from Hatef High School, which they obtained in 2014. Before that, they attended Abu Dhabi Iranian School for elementary and middle school. Hamed has also obtained several certifications, including AWS Educate Introduction to Cloud 101 from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, ACM Deep Learning Summer School from ACM, Association for Computing Machinery in 2018, Big Data Fundamentals with PySpark from DataCamp, Data Processing in Shell from DataCamp, and Deploying Scalable Machine Learning for Data Science from LinkedIn.
