Emlyn Scott

Emlyn Scott has a diverse and extensive work experience. Emlyn is currently the Managing Partner at CP Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests internationally in early stage, highly scalable, breakthrough technology companies. Emlyn has been with CP Ventures since April 2016.

In 2021, Emlyn joined Skylark Labs as the Director of Skylark Labs Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Skylark Labs Inc (US). Skylark Labs develops AI-powered security products that can identify known threats and continuously learn new ones. Emlyn also serves as an Advisor for Skylark Labs Inc, where they contribute to the development of their dual-use self-learning AI security products.

Emlyn's involvement in academia includes serving on the UTS Business School Advisory Board at the University of Technology Sydney from July 2019 to December 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Emlyn had been a Co-Founder and Director at OpenMarkets Group since June 2012 until February 2021. Before that, they held the position of CEO at the National Stock Exchange of Australia from November 2011 to March 2016, overseeing significant growth in listing market share during their tenure.

Emlyn's earlier experiences include working as the Head of Business Development, EquityClear at LCH.Clearnet from November 2001 to October 2010, as well as being a Fund Manager at Martin Currie from September 1999 to October 2000.

Emlyn Scott obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute. They also completed a Masters of Business Administration degree from The University of Edinburgh, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from FINSIA, and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University. In terms of additional certifications, Emlyn Scott obtained a Companies Director Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in January 2019, an RG146 certification from ASIC in March 2016, and an F Fin certification from Finsia in December 1993.
