Dana Nelson

Dana Nelson is a seasoned user researcher and design leader with extensive experience in human-centered design, having held key positions at leading organizations such as Skylight, IDEO, and Ready. Currently a Staff User Researcher at Skylight, Dana previously excelled as Design Research Lead at IDEO, where responsibilities included leading comprehensive design research processes and client collaborations. At Ready, Dana established the Digital Product Design team and Innovation Council, leveraging design insights for strategic decisions. Previous roles at Sutter Health and Kareo focused on enhancing primary care and UX design in medical settings, while earlier experiences included internships and community advocacy work. Dana holds dual Bachelor's degrees in International Relations and Affairs, and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Rochester, along with specialized training in UX design from General Assembly and other institutions.
