Swetha Sakunthala Subbiah

System Engineer - Modeling and Simulation at Skyryse

Swetha Sakunthala Subbiah has a diverse range of work experience. Swetha Sakunthala currently works as a System Engineer - Modeling and Simulation at Skyryse, where they contribute to the development of FlightOS, a universal flight deck and operating system. Prior to this, they were a Baraja LiDAR Cohort Member at the University of Michigan, where they developed a software script for automated performance evaluation of Baraja Spectrum Scan LiDAR. Swetha also worked as a Graduate Student Instructor for a control system analysis and design course, as a Student Coding Coach for a coding program, and as a Research Assistant on various projects related to gas chromatography and motion sickness mitigation in autonomous vehicles. Additionally, they worked as a Grader for a theory of algorithms course. Before their time at the University of Michigan, Swetha was a Scientist/Engineer at VSSC - Indian Space Research Organization, where they worked on the realization and operation of checkout systems for rocket subassemblies. Swetha Sakunthala also worked as a Research Intern at the University of Manitoba, focusing on the design of robust control for an unmanned aerial vehicle, and as an Intern at Flex, where they gained experience in electronics production techniques and defect source identification.

Swetha Sakunthala Subbiah's education history begins with their high school diploma from The PSBB Millennium School, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Swetha Sakunthala then pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology between 2014 and 2018. Continuing their academic pursuits, Swetha is currently enrolled at the University of Michigan, where they are expected to complete a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2022 to 2023.
