Akash Mitter

Akash Mitter has a wealth of experience in finance and leadership roles. Akash is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at SkySpecs, where they oversee the Finance department and is a member of the Executive Leadership team. In this role, they support the development of strategy and growth through the delivery of financial commitments for Revenue, Margin, and Cash.

Prior to joining SkySpecs, Akash held various positions at GE Renewable Energy. From 2017 to 2022, they served as the Global CFO of GE Offshore Wind, where they were responsible for all aspects of financial management and strategy for the business. Akash played a key role in delivering revenue, profit, and cash targets, and worked towards growing the business to become the world's premier offshore wind company.

Before their role in Offshore Wind, Akash was the CFO of Global Supply Chain at GE Renewable Energy from 2019 to 2020, overseeing financial aspects of inventory management, sourcing finance, product costs, and more. Akash also served as the CFO for Onshore Wind EMEA from 2017 to 2019, managing a $2.2 billion P&L and leading the strategic management of the business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Akash's experience at GE dates back to 2003, where they began as an Associate Treasurer for European Equipment Finance Nordics. Akash later held roles such as Assistant European Treasurer at GE Capital Solutions and Audit Associate. Akash eventually became a Senior Audit Manager and then transitioned to International Finance Manager, overseeing GE Industrial Funding structures and Corporate Holding Companies.

In their most recent roles at GE, they served as the Finance Leader for the global tax organization and as the Director and Trustee of the GE UK Pension plan. Akash also held the position of Chairman of the investment committee.

Throughout their career, Akash has consistently demonstrated their expertise in financial management, strategy development, and leadership.

From 1999 to 2003, Akash Mitter studied Accounting and Finance at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Akash obtained a Professional degree in this field.
