William Warbington

William Warbington has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. William started their career in the United States Air Force, serving in various roles as a C4I Officer and Command and Control Officer. After their military service, they worked as a Consultant at Spider Business SAS and later joined The American Pavilion as a Logistics volunteer.

In 2004, William joined Amadeus IT Group, where they held multiple roles over the years. William started as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually became a Sales Engineer and a Digital Solution Manager for Airline IT. In these roles, they worked on various projects, including airline website and mobile development, migration to new platforms, and development of loyalty programs.

William's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a Founder and Principal Consultant at TripSimian Digital Travel Solutions in 2019. William'scompany focused on promoting travel tech innovation and helping airlines with ancillary implementation and replatforming strategies.

In the same year, William also worked as the VP of Engineering and R&D at AppMail, a dynamic email platform targeting airlines for ancillaries and e-commerce solutions.

In 2020, they briefly worked at Antler as an Entrepreneur at large.

Most recently, William joined SkyTeam in 2022 as the Director of Alliance Innovation Strategy, where they currently oversee the development and implementation of innovative strategies for the alliance.

Throughout their career, William has demonstrated a strong understanding of the travel industry and a passion for driving innovation and growth.

William Warbington graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Humanities. William then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in International Relations from Troy University, completing their studies in 1998. In 2002, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus. William also briefly attended The American University of Paris in 2000, but it is unknown whether they obtained a degree there. In 2018, they earned an Executive certificate in Industrial and Product Design - Mastering Design Thinking from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the Kauffman Fellows x TechStars Venture Deals in 2020 and an International Bareboat Skipper Sail certification from the International Yacht Training Worldwide in November 2018.
