Skyward Experimental Rocketry is the first association of the Polytechnic University of Milan that designs and launches sounding rockets.

Founded in 2012, our team achieves its goals and completes its projects by synergizing the know-how and abilities of students of all age groups and academic courses.

In 2021 we successfully rebranded ourselves as we took part in the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC), a competition organized by the Portuguese Air Summit, and launched our latest project Lynx, winning the Flight Performance and Team Effort Awards, ranking second in the overall ranking.

In October 2022 we took part in EuRoC with our new rocket, Pyxis, winning the overall ranking.

In October 2023 we will take part once again in EuRoC with Gemini, the first rocket of the association with an hybrid propulsion system.

The Engineering Team at Skyward Experimental Rocketry is responsible for designing, developing, and testing the electronic and software systems essential for the operation and performance of our sounding rockets. The team combines the expertise of electronic engineers, software engineers, and embedded software developers to innovate in areas such as hybrid propulsion systems, flight control, telemetry, and data analysis, ensuring our rockets achieve optimal performance in competitive events like the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC).
